They have the skills to provide a timely diagnosis and first-class veterinary treatment.
Enrico (DVM, MRCVS, GPCertSAS)
Enrico graduated from Camerino University in 2009. In 2015 he sat his ESVPS’ (European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies) examination and obtained his General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In the same year he became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and joined Briar House to lead our clever surgical team.
Enrico is in the final year of his Endo – PgC and GPCert Small Animal Endoscopy and Endo Surgery Certificate. Our very own Super Vet!
Enrico has built a fantastic portfolio of complex surgical procedures since qualifying, including TTA procedures, complex fracture repairs, BOAS surgeries, cruciate repairs and patella luxation – there are very few cases that Enrico will not take on.
Although a terrific surgeon, Enrico is also proud to be a high level general medicine vet with many years experience in diagnosing and curing medical conditions that do not require surgery.
In his spare time he is a highly experienced falconer. He loves riding, spending time with his son Francesco, playing basketball, skiing, and motorcycling. We’re not sure where he gets the time as he’s permanently in theatre!
Enrico:Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Our very own brilliant home grown Veterinary Surgeon Leanne has returned to her roots after 10 years practising in London and Australia. Yes, Leanne grew up and was and educated right here in Broadstairs before leaving to study at the Royal College in London, graduating in 2010.
With over 10 years experience in treating sick pets, Leanne has an extremely broad level of knowledge in first opinion veterinary medicine and excels in her skill for high level ultrasound. Though an immensely competent practitioner in the field of small animal medicine, Leanne harbours a deep passion for soft tissue surgery and can often be found in theatre with our Advanced Surgeon Enrico, increasing her expertise!
Leanne immensely enjoys being a part of our experienced hospital team, discussing and advising on complex cases being hospitalised within our popular surgery.
In her spare time Leanne loves spending time with her family and enjoys pilates, yoga and horse riding. A return to the Kent Coast to practice was the perfect choice.
Katie, our clinical manager started her nursing career in 2006 and joined DNA Vetcare team in 2018.
She qualified in 2009 and since then, she gained the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2014 and a BSc in Clinical Veterinary Nursing in 2016.
In practice her favourite things are consulting, anaesthesia and scrubbing in to assist on surgeries.
On a day to day basis, Katie ensures the smooth running of the practice while making sure that all your pets are treated as our own.
Outside the surgery, Katie is a very busy mom of two sons and one black labrador, Bella.
George has a wealth of experience having started nursing in 2005 and qualified as an RVN in 2009. She has held varied roles across the industry including Head Nurse positions, an exciting nursing job in the Cayman Islands and a volunteer role in a canine rescue in Thailand.
Now settled down in sunny Margate, George spends all of her time between our Briar House Vets practice and taking care of her toddler and 2 dogs. In her free time, George enjoys baking and gardening.
Naomi joined Briar House as Receptionist and VCA after graduating from the university with a first class honours degree in Animal Science.
Naomi has been passionate about animals since she was a little girl. She absolutely loves her job, and particularly she enjoys meeting with our lovely clients and their precious pets.
Naomi is aspired to progress further in her career and become a registered nurse in the upcoming years.
Naomi:Veterinary Care Assistant
After a career in Marketing, Sarah returned to her first love, working with animals and has been working hard over the last few years to gain experience in the veterinary profession to pursue her dream of one day becoming a veterinary nurse. Her dreams came true in September 2019, when she joined Briar House Veterinary Surgery as a Student Veterinary Nurse, after previous work experience at the practice. She attends college one
day a week, as well as working at the practice the rest of the week.
Sarah is thoroughly enjoying studying nursing and is looking forward to qualifying in a couple of years. She loves animals and has a pet sausage dog called Bette who she enjoys taking on long seaside walks and cuddles on the sofa with, while watching classic movies.
Sarah and her husband enjoy travelling and seeing the world, and are hoping to squeeze some mini adventures in over the next three years in-between all her studies!

Lana particularly enjoys being the front of house at Briar and meeting all our lovely clients and pets.
At home Lana loves spoiling her husband, children and a 17 year old dog!
Vicki started her career as a nurse for the NHS. After 15 years of working for the NHS, Vicki wanted to spend more time with her family, so she and her husband opened The Muttley Crew Family, a home doggie daycare, boarding and pet services company.
Five years later she started missing human contact and decided to combine it with her huge passion for animals. Now, she has joined our amazing team here at Briar House, as a receptionist and we couldn’t be happier. In her free time, Vicki enjoys spending time with her two boys and one 9-year-old goldendoodle.
