Another wonderful micropub is located 5 minutes from Briar House Vets. So, after you come to our surgery for a health check, vaccination or any appointment, consider going to the pub for a nice cold pint and some delicious snacks! The staff is super friendly, they just adore all pooches and they will be extremely happy to meet you and your friend!
- Four Candles, St Peters Broadstairs
Only 4 minutes away from Briar House Veterinary Surgery, the Four Candles is the smallest brewpub in Britain and the first alehouse in Broadstairs and St. Peter’s. A real ale brewery crammed into a cellar little more than 3m x 3m – and the results sold in the cosy drinking area above. No regular beers, no big-brewery products. Biddenden ciders, wines and fruit juices, Canterbury cheeses, local pork pies, pork scratchings. No lagers, no spirits, no piped music, no Sky TV, no wi-fi and we boast terrible mobile phone reception. So customers have to make their own entertainment. Be prepared to talk to the regulars because they will probably talk to you and especially to your little friend.
- Tartar Frigate, Broadstairs (Permitted after food service, in the bar only, usually 2:30pm)
The historic Tartar Frigate is one of the only 18th century flint restaurants in Kent.
